Greetings to All:
It's been a bearable winter to-date around the course - we pushed a little of our cold south to even things out this year - hoping to get back more heat and less rain for us this season.
Even with this inconsistent weather in '09, our members played more rounds per member than in '08 and green fee revenues were actually up.
Continuing increases in costs to maintain the high course condition standards and the dramatic increases in minimum wages does take its toll on the bottom line. Nevertheless, we continue to make plans for another progressive season at BlackHorse.
- Our membership rates remain very competitive and we continue to see more of you taking advantage of the multi year rates
-smart move!
- An all new cart fleet has been negotiated even though the existing ones were in good shape - no additionals cost to
BlackHorse.
- Our Privileged Member Program initiated last year for BlackHorse Members Only was a huge success - many of you went off
and played some very nice courses - in turn, we attracted over 800 rounds to BlackHorse - the largest in the group! This year
the price goes up ($35 taxes in). Due to some abuse of the plan - Only BlackHorse members get the $35 rate - guests will pay
whatever the host course chooses to charge PMG guests.
- New for 2010 is an additional Privileged Play Program for BlackHorse Members - For a fee of $95 you can play at discounted
prices some of the finest courses in Canada, USA and Europe (check it out at 'privplay.com') - It pays to belong to BlackHorse!
- Members and Wannabees we will have our latest architect's drawings for the Clubhouse/Proshop site plan at our Spring Open
House - We're getting closer - your input is always welcomed - and with a solid year under our belt, we may be able to get started
sooner versus later.
- Members can still earn $50 Gift Certificates for every new member they sponsor! With all the added values at BlackHorse, you
should be actively seeking family, friends and business associates to join you at BlackHorse. Golf at its best!
